Are the glasses dishwasher safe? Microwave safe?

Waves: Waves glassware is dishwasher safe. We recommend using a gentle cycle to help preserve their clarity and placing the glasses securely in the dishwasher. The glasses are not suitable for use in the microwave.

Aurora: We do not recommend placing the Aurora glassware in the dishwasher, as the harsh chemicals in some detergents may affect its clarity over time. Similarly, the glasses are not suitable for use in the microwave. To preserve their beauty, we recommend gentle hand washing and mindful care

Are the waves glasses stackable?

The Waves water glasses are stackable. Avoid stacking glasses while they are still warm from washing, which may cause them to stick together and break.

Are the glasses mouth-blown or machine-produced?

All our glassware is mouth-blown by skilled artisans, a technique that lends each piece its own subtle character and charm. This craftsmanship ensures a unique expression while upholding the high standards of quality and elegance that define Royal Copenhagen.

Are there limits to the temperature of the liquids served in the glasses as well as the temperature for the glass itself?

Waves: Only pour liquids into a room-temperature glass to prevent damage from extreme temperature changes. These glasses are intended exclusively for cold liquid.

Can our glasses get glass clouding?

Glassware can develop a cloudiness that may appear over time. This is more likely to occur if the glasses are not cared for properly. To preserve their clarity and brilliance, we recommend using gentle dishwasher cycles at low temperatures or washing by hand

Is there a breakage warranty on the glasses?

Our glassware does not come with a breakage warranty. Each piece is crafted with great care and attention to quality, and while we do not offer coverage for accidental damage, we always welcome you to reach out should you experience any issues with the functions of your glassware.

What type of glass is used in the production?

Waves: Our Waves glassware is made from soda-lime glass, consisting of approximately 70% sand, giving it durability and clarity.

Aurora: The Aurora glassware is crafted from crystal, offering exceptional brilliance and a refined finish.

Who is the designer behind the glasses?

The glassware is the work of the Royal Copenhagen design team, who combine traditional craftsmanship with modern simplicity to create pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
