Vase, Morning Glory, 20 cm
The creation of blomst is inspired by Royal Copenhagen’s Pattern no. 2, Blue Flower, from 1778. Soft, lifelike depictions of the Danish flora decorate the edged shapes of the porcelain. A meeting between past and present. Every piece is painted with its own flower tale: On this vase, the flower buds of a Morning Glory are bursting and blooming. The vase narrows at the opening '“ making room for a single, handpicked flower. The best designs often appear effortless, uncomplicated and completely natural. blomst is an example of just that, and for the eye-catching collection, much consideration has been given to the particular combination of form, design and placement of the blue brushstrokes to achieve a contemporary and simplistic expression. Every piece in the collection is adorned with its own unique, hand painted flower.
