Blue Elements
In Blue Elements, the well-known floral patterns of Royal Copenhagen are left to grow wild, whispering a centuries-old-story in a contemporary setting. The story is in the details with the flutes of Blue Origin, the border of Blue Origin Half Lace and the rimmed edge of Flora Danica. Created in 2011 by Louise Campbell for Royal Copenhagen.
Explore Elements
Discover Blue Elements from Royal Copenhagen – a truly unique collection that unites iconic details from Royal Copenhagen's rich history with a contemporary and playful design. This dinnerware is crafted to add an unpretentious elegance to any table setting.
Blue Elements was created in 2011 by acclaimed designer Louise Campbell for Royal Copenhagen. The collection is an ingenious interplay of familiar elements: the delicate fluting from Blue Fluted Plain, the intricate lace edge from Blue Fluted Half Lace, and the distinctive jagged rim from the legendary Flora Danica. This playful combination of textures and patterns stands out in Royal Copenhagen's blue and white universe with its contemporary design. Hand-painted flowers and palmettes gracefully entwine across the porcelain in informal expressions, creating a festive and dynamic look.
Details that tell a story
Among the special pieces in the collection, you'll find the charming small sugar bowl with a spoon, one end of which is shaped like a face – a 'grotesque.' This detail is a historic Royal Copenhagen decoration, adding a humorous and cultural element. The sugar bowl fits perfectly into any kitchen, ideal for salt or other spices, or as an elegant addition to a dessert table when serving tea and coffee. The evening table can be rounded off with the beautiful teapot, which also features a grotesque on its handle, and a selection ofcups and mugs in various sizes and expressions. The small espresso cup with saucer (9 cl) and the wider cup with saucer (26 cl) both come with a saucer designed with extra space in mind, perfect for a small cake or sweet treats alongside your hot beverage.

Designing Elements
Designer Louise Campbell is behind the innovative and playful Elements collection. Louise Campbell first introduced Multicolored Elements (discontinued collection) and White Elements in 2008, and later Blue Elements.
For Louise Campbell, designing Elements was a modern play on the traditional Royal Copenhagen patterns, shapes, and aesthetics. With a respect for traditions, Elements presents a joyful dance between classic elegance and playful informality.
"In my view, Elements is playful. It’s so important for me to try and say, don’t be afraid of using it, play with it, have fun with it."
